I love my coffee table..it was easy to assemble..I absolutely love how it looks in my living roomThis is a nice and sturdy coffee table and looks more expensive than it is. Warning: Some of the screws have black grease on them so if you have carpeting, I recommend you assemble it on top of an old blanket or tarp so you don't get it on your carpet. It did have one small nick on the top wood but we just took some stain and applied it to the nick and you can't notice it unless you look for it. All in all, I am happy with this purchase.Product arrived intact, no cracks, scratches or damage. Assembling is very easy except I encountered problems which slowed the assembly process down. One of the inner pieces on the legs (that a screw is supposed to go into) came out of the socket completely as I was screwing the screw into it. I had to toil with it a bit before I got it to stay in place (simply twist it back into position along threading and when its time to screw the screw back in...do not over screw it!). Next, bottom shelf dowels were not lining up with holes properly on 2 sides, they were a little off. I called a friend to help and turns out only needed a little muscle power. Although they were a little off and did not fit in he was able to make it fit using extreme force on one end, on the other he covered the leg with a towel and hammered it right in. Voila! I screwed brackets into place after that and that was a wrap! All done. Looks great! Looks more expensive than it actually is. Its got a good weight, very sturdy. I took one star off my rating for the assembly reason but we are very happy otherwise.p.s. do not try hammer part unless you know what you are doing. Good Luck! Enjoy!I purchased this coffee table after getting the end tables and being very satisfied with the end result. This table was not quite as great. There is a noticeable marr on the top right of the table and the finish where the glass lays is rough and unfinished. Actually took a sharpie to “touch up” some flaking of the finish in this area. Once it was together I liked the competed look it gives my room. You get what you pay for and feel that this was still money well spent. The table has some beef to it and is very sturdy. Glad I have a strong and kind neighbor who carted the box up the stairs for me. Simple assembly in no time by myself. My cat approves too!For the price, you're obviously not getting a piece of super highend furniture that will last your family for decades. That being said, we're pleased with the table and i would expect it to last 3-5 years easily. We put it in a sunroom off the kitchen with some small leather chairs and a loveseat. We chose it primarily for it's price and it's small size. Since our room wasn't very large, we were looking for small coffee and end tables, and this set fit the bill. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:- pretty well designed and machined... pieces fit together properly and hardware provided was appropriate- table is sturdy; doesn't sway or flex at all- All pieces are actual real word, no MDF fiber boards.Cons:- table is a bit "distressed" - may be the design, not sure... a couple nicks in the wood, etc. it's coated with the stain, so it's not like it was done in shipping, so it may be what they were going for. If I'd guess, it's just cheaper wood and not the absolute highest quality control. Not a deal-breaker.- glass top is pretty thin. maybe 1/4" glass. no throwing heavy books down on this thing or you'll regret it.- the bottom panel is really inviting to use as a footrest, and we do it. Having put it together, i know that it's only connected with a small bracket and screw to each leg, so I'm always pretty conscious about putting to much of my weight on it. That said, no issues so far.Again, for the price, you really can't go wrong as it looks nice and is sturdy.Got this for my son's apartment. He loves it. Definitely recommendExactly what I was looking for! This table is beautiful and very solid. The instructions to assemble were easy to follow, didn't have to wait for the husband to come home in order to put it togetherI bought this based on the mostly good reviews and now I have a hard time believing those. I ordered this a month back and just got around to opening and assembling it. The assembly was ok but here are some things I found post-assembly.1. The glass does not fit snug into the slot, nor does it lock in place. There's actually a 1/8th inch gap now and the glass slides because of this. Who designed this??2. The paint job on the table looks very unprofessional, it looks like someone painted wood by hand. The finish on the top already has some scratches.3. There's a chip on one of the sides which is very visible. I only realized it after assembly. This is the first time I bought a furniture item on Amazon. Never again! Now, I have to figure out how to return this thing - what a massive waste of time. If you have no eye for quality or design, you may like this. If not, look at other options.Somewhat Easy assembly read the instructions, looks good in the apartment, practical use, and the glass looks sturdy enough and is easy to clean but moves quite easily when seated on the table that makes me wonder how much force it would take to break. The top of the table has these lines that shows where the pieces of wood are glued together which are noticeable but not a deal breaker, just feel like there could have been something done to them.Unless you try (or you live with children) you won't find a place where you can hurt yourself easily with the table, the edges on the top and sides of the table are rounded enough.Still find the table to be a good purchase after a couple of months.Don't buy if you have toddlers in the house. the corners are crazy sharp and they will climb on the table, testing the strength of the glass. I don't like that there's a noticeable gap between the glass and wood. food and other particles get stuck in it and is quite annoying to get out. I've considered getting a tempered glass manufacturer to cut a better sheet. aside these, pretty nice table. When I got this table I fell in love with it. It looks great in my living room and it was in wonderful condition when it arrived. A few weeks after I got it I placed a book on the middle shelf and it wound up breaking around the dowels. I was so heartbroken. I sent a message to the company asking if it was possible for me to get a replacement shelf. I hadn't heard back so I figured I'd just accept it as it was. Turns out, I had been sent a reply, it just went to my spam folder. The customer service was wonderful and they sent me a replacement shelf. They have made me so happy and my table looks lovely once again!I really like the look of this table and it goes well with my setup. One tip I can suggest though if you purchase this table(and any other table with a glass insert like this one). Check the glass before you put the table together. Mine had a bunch of scratches, two being pretty noticeable. It looks like they were put there after being inspected, or it wasn't inspected before it was packaged. Now I have to take the whole table apart and send it back. Yes there is a replacement on its way and I am happy with the quick service, I just find it to be a hassle. Will my next order be what it says it is? I now doubt that every time.
