I wish the quality was a bit better here. This is a very old design which seems to have made zero improvement over its production cycle. I had one other years ago in the smaller size and it seemed to have the same issues, The thin aluminum bends and distorts quite easily. Biggest issue i had though was with one of the primary glass support bars had a weak weld for the screw bung and popped out when tightening, now my edge piece will not align properly and i had to JB weld the bung back in to get it to sit "properly" at all.The take away is that the glass quality is extremely high. I dropped a metal mug on this a few times and not a scratch or anything. Nice thick slab that is nicely cut with clean beveled edges.Also i don't know where the steel is in this, it seems like all the parts are aluminum, certainly the uprights.The design is exactly what i wanted, unfortunately, i'm sure i could have took the time to make the metal furniture myself of better quality for the same price. You are basically paying for the glass, which in itself is really expensive. I got a quote from a shop near me for the same size and they wanted more than the cost of the entire desk.So be advised, be careful screwing everything together and probably use some epoxy in the support bars first before tightening stuff down so the welds don't crack off.
